How to plant plantable paper in 3
steps:
Place the paper on a plate and cover it with water.
It can’t dry out! If it dries out, it will not germinate again.
When a few sprouts have grown, transplant the paper into a pot filled
with soil.

Characteristics of plantable seed paper
A handcrafted paper: with seeds and zero chemicals
Sheedo started in 2017 with a vision: to make the best seed paper without any nasty chemicals. Ever since, we’ve been constantly finding new ways to make our products and processes even better.
Working with skilled artisans, we’ve developed top-notch plantable paper that considers everything – from the seeds themselves to how well they grow and the paper’s quality.
Paper material and feel
The texture of our seed paper takes us back to the paper mill where it originates. It’s a paper that’s soft to the touch and porous, and it even releases a floral scent when it’s in the hands of the artisans.
The paper is made from residual cotton from the textile industry. That’s why we don’t fell trees to manufacture it. We also don’t use toxic chemicals during the production process for bleaching.
Seed paper weight
Our plantable paper has an approximate weight of 250gsm. This makes it sturdy enough to print on for various purposes, such as business cards, labels, flyers, and promotional cards.
Due to its artisanal, handmade production process, the weight of the paper can vary ever so slightly from one sheet to the next.
Paper colour
Our paper contains no bleaching chemicals, and as a result, the colour of the seed paper is off-white.

How long does plantable paper take to germinate?
The germination process usually begins between 5 and 15 days after planting the paper, provided the right conditions are met: light, water, and a mild temperature.
We recommend keeping the soil moist (but not waterlogged) and in a warm place to ensure the best germination.
